Who we are
Ihtiyati Backups (احتياطي باكأبس) is an app in Salla's App Store that backs up a Salla store and restores it. It is operated by Ihtiyati Backups Inc., referred to below as "we".
For anything about this policy or your data, email support@ihtiyatibackups.com.
Whose data is it?
Your store's data, customers and orders included, belongs to your store. We keep it only to back up your store, on your behalf. If you are a store's customer, ask the store about your data.
What we hold
Account data: the store's Salla identifier and name, the access and refresh tokens Salla issues to the app, the permissions granted, when the app was installed, authorised and uninstalled, and the hour the daily backup runs.
Store data: every saved version of the store's data, such as products, categories, brands, offers, coupons, taxes, shipping zones, branches, customers and orders, with their images.
Technical data: while someone uses the app, a request log records the page asked for and the IP address it came from. One cookie keeps the session, holding the store and the chosen language and theme.
We do not hold payment card numbers or passwords.
Where it comes from
Store data and account data come from Salla: from its API, under the access the merchant grants when installing the app, and from the notifications Salla sends us when something changes. Technical data comes from the browser of whoever uses the app. Anything else comes from what a merchant tells us when they write to us.
We never collect data directly from a store's customers.
Why we hold it, and on what basis
| Data | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Store data | To back up the store, compare versions, and restore or export what the merchant asks for |
| Account data | To run the service the merchant installed |
| Request logs | To keep the service secure and find faults |
| Support emails | To answer the merchant |
We hold store data because the merchant installed the app to back up their store, account data and support emails to run the service for them, and logs and the session to keep the service secure.
How we use it, and what we never do
Store data is read only to back up the store, to show the merchant a comparison between versions, and to perform a restore or an export the merchant starts. A customer's record is written back to a store only when the merchant asks us to, by email. Orders are never written back.
We never sell store data, and never share it beyond the recipients listed below.
Who receives it
- Salla, when the app reads from or writes to the store.
- Service providers that host and run the app and handle our email, bound by contract to use the data only to provide their service to us.
- Salla's embedding library, which your browser loads from a public code network when the app opens inside Salla's dashboard. That network sees your browser's IP address.
- Authorities, where the law requires us to disclose data. Where we may, we tell the merchant first.
How long we keep it
We keep your store's data while the app is installed, and for 90 days after you uninstall it, so reinstalling within that time brings everything back. After that it is destroyed, and copies in our own database backups are gone within seven more days. Other data, such as logs and temporary copies, is kept only as long as needed.
How it is protected
Every backup is encrypted at rest, and access tokens are encrypted in our database. Only the part of the app that runs backups, comparisons, restores and exports can read a backup. Store data is kept out of our logs.
